Ports Usb
What does it mean when your PC is read all USB ports as the same port? Is there a way you can fix?
when I try to use multiple devices USB can override the other, or it reads "USB device not recognized". I think this is because all my ports read as the same port. I really need help with this.
From what I remember, you can have up to 127 USB devices daisy-chained. And with the use of USB hubs, all 127 devices can be connected to a port USB on the computer. In other words, a USB port is acting as host to all devices. http://computer.howstuffworks.com/usb.htm When the computer is turned and consultation of all devices connected to USB and assigns each an address. If the device manager is not working properly and the allocation of the same address more than one device, the computer does not know what they are supposed to access the device. So the question now is, why does the device manager assigning the same address more than one device. The three answers that come to mind are: (a) damaged or not device drivers, (b) your team can have damaged system files that control the device manager, or (c) there is a physical problem with the USB port (s). To check your device drivers, click Start> Run> type devmgmt.msc and click OK. You will see a screen with all the hardware devices listed and can click on the + signs to open branches. If there is a problem you will see either a yellow or red icon, and each device had a button troubleshooting. damaged system files usually be solved with a utility called System File Checker. For Windows XP, click Start> Run> Type "sfc / scannow"> OK (no quotes and note the space between sfc and / scannow.) If any damaged file system or not detected, you are prompted to insert the installation disk. Archives then be repaired or replaced as needed. The exploration may take more than an hour depending on what it finds. For Vista, you can follow the steps here: http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2231/vista_run_system_file_checker Finally, you can check the overall soundness of the computer to run a free scan Diagnostic Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html wwbgd
