How do I connect cable to the HDTV standard?

I have an HDTV and most of my entertainment comes PS3 games and Blu-ray, but occasionally I like to watch television. I do not see enough to justify the improvements to arrive at my cable service and a box digital, so how can I connect what they already have the standard cable. my HDTV only has HDMI, composite video s, but not inside or outside the RF cable. adapter simple or inexpensive starter kit would be fine, unless they need some serious techy skills. any idea or Reccommendations would be appreciated.

Sounds as having a TV monitor without tuner high definition. Do you have a cable box with your cable service? The cable should have at least video composite audio outputs, as well as RF output. If not then the next option is to get a video player and using the tuner is built in, and utilize video output to your TV.
